بِسْمِ
ٱللَّهِ
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
لَآ
أُقْسِمُ
بِيَوْمِ
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
1
No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection.
75:1
وَلَآ
أُقْسِمُ
بِٱلنَّفْسِ
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
2
No! I swear by the reproachful soul.
75:2
أَيَحْسَبُ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
أَلَّن
نَّجْمَعَ
عِظَامَهُۥ
3
What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones?
75:3
بَلَىٰ
قَٰدِرِينَ
عَلَىٰٓ
أَن
نُّسَوِّىَ
بَنَانَهُۥ
4
Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers.
75:4
بَلْ
يُرِيدُ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
لِيَفْجُرَ
أَمَامَهُۥ
5
Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine,
75:5
يَسْـَٔلُ
أَيَّانَ
يَوْمُ
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
6
asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?'
75:6
فَإِذَا
بَرِقَ
ٱلْبَصَرُ
7
But when the sight is dazed
75:7
وَخَسَفَ
ٱلْقَمَرُ
8
and the moon is eclipsed,
75:8
وَجُمِعَ
ٱلشَّمْسُ
وَٱلْقَمَرُ
9
and the sun and moon are brought together,
75:9
يَقُولُ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
أَيْنَ
ٱلْمَفَرُّ
10
upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?'
75:10
كَلَّا
لَا
وَزَرَ
11
No indeed; not a refuge!
75:11
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
12
Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord.
75:12
يُنَبَّؤُا۟
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
يَوْمَئِذٍۭ
بِمَا
قَدَّمَ
وَأَخَّرَ
13
Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter;
75:13
بَلِ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
عَلَىٰ
نَفْسِهِۦ
بَصِيرَةٌۭ
14
nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself,
75:14
وَلَوْ
أَلْقَىٰ
مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ
15
even though he offer his excuses.
75:15
لَا
تُحَرِّكْ
بِهِۦ
لِسَانَكَ
لِتَعْجَلَ
بِهِۦٓ
16
Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it;
75:16
إِنَّ
عَلَيْنَا
جَمْعَهُۥ
وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ
17
Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it.
75:17
فَإِذَا
قَرَأْنَٰهُ
فَٱتَّبِعْ
قُرْءَانَهُۥ
18
So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation.
75:18
ثُمَّ
إِنَّ
عَلَيْنَا
بَيَانَهُۥ
19
Then Ours it is to explain it.
75:19
كَلَّا
بَلْ
تُحِبُّونَ
ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
20
No indeed; but you love the hasty world,
75:20
وَتَذَرُونَ
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
21
and leave be the Hereafter.
75:21
وُجُوهٌۭ
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
نَّاضِرَةٌ
22
Upon that day faces shall be radiant,
75:22
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّهَا
نَاظِرَةٌۭ
23
gazing upon their Lord;
75:23
وَوُجُوهٌۭ
يَوْمَئِذٍۭ
بَاسِرَةٌۭ
24
and upon that day faces shall be scowling,
75:24
تَظُنُّ
أَن
يُفْعَلَ
بِهَا
فَاقِرَةٌۭ
25
thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them.
75:25
كَلَّآ
إِذَا
بَلَغَتِ
ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
26
No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles
75:26
وَقِيلَ
مَنْ
رَاقٍۢ
27
and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?'
75:27
وَظَنَّ
أَنَّهُ
ٱلْفِرَاقُ
28
and he thinks that it is the parting
75:28
وَٱلْتَفَّتِ
ٱلسَّاقُ
بِٱلسَّاقِ
29
and leg is intertwined with leg,
75:29
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
يَوْمَئِذٍ
ٱلْمَسَاقُ
30
upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving.
75:30
فَلَا
صَدَّقَ
وَلَا
صَلَّىٰ
31
For he confirmed it not, and did not pray,
75:31
وَلَٰكِن
كَذَّبَ
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
32
but he cried it lies, and he turned away,
75:32
ثُمَّ
ذَهَبَ
إِلَىٰٓ
أَهْلِهِۦ
يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
33
then he went to his household arrogantly.
75:33
أَوْلَىٰ
لَكَ
فَأَوْلَىٰ
34
Nearer to thee and nearer
75:34
ثُمَّ
أَوْلَىٰ
لَكَ
فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
35
then nearer to thee and nearer!
75:35
أَيَحْسَبُ
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
أَن
يُتْرَكَ
سُدًى
36
What, does man reckon he shall be left to roam at will?
75:36
أَلَمْ
يَكُ
نُطْفَةًۭ
مِّن
مَّنِىٍّۢ
يُمْنَىٰ
37
Was he not a sperm-drop spilled?
75:37
ثُمَّ
كَانَ
عَلَقَةًۭ
فَخَلَقَ
فَسَوَّىٰ
38
Then he was a blood-clot, and He created and formed,
75:38
فَجَعَلَ
مِنْهُ
ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ
ٱلذَّكَرَ
وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
39
and He made of him two kinds, male and female.
75:39
أَلَيْسَ
ذَٰلِكَ
بِقَٰدِرٍ
عَلَىٰٓ
أَن
يُحْۦِىَ
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
40
What, is He not able to quicken the dead?
75:40
